Scanning and Copying with ScanEZ

This article is for students, faculty, staff, and campus guests. ScanEZ stations in the Foothill College Library and the De Anza College Library are touch-screen scanning, copying, and fax stations — scan documents to email, cloud storage, or USB; make copies; send faxes (including FAFSA Verification and Dependency Verification); and even translate or restore what you scan.

Use a ScanEZ station

  1. Touch to start — tap the touchscreen to begin.
  2. Choose your source:
    • Flatbed scanner — best for books, bound materials, and delicate or vintage documents.
    • High-speed feeder — best for multi-page documents and double-sided sheets.
    • USB / cloud import — work with files from a flash drive or cloud account.
  3. Select your destination:
    • Email, or your phone via QR code
    • Cloud services — Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, Box, Office 365
    • USB flash drive
    • Print, copy, or fax — including FAFSA Verification and Dependency Verification faxes
  4. Edit and enhance(optional):
    • Auto-crop & rotate — adjust page layout, color settings, or crop.
    • Language translation — translate text into over 100 languages as a Word file, or convert text to an MP3 audio file.
    • Photo restoration — AI-powered enhancement for old photos and documents.
  5. Pay and finish:
    • FHDA student account — log in with your student account details.
    • Pay-As-You-Go / Guest Checkout — no account needed; pay with a credit or debit card, Apple Pay, or Google Wallet.

Accessibility and languages

  • The touchscreen interface can be switched into 25+ languages.
  • Built-in accessibility tools include an on-screen Magnifier, Narrator screen reader, and High-Contrast modes.

Your scans don't stay on the station. All scanned documents and personal information are wiped automatically at the end of every session — but that also means anything you didn't send to email, cloud, or USB before finishing is gone. Confirm your destination delivered before you walk away.
