This article is for anyone standing at an ePRINTit release station ready to print. It covers logging in, choosing your files, setting print options, and paying. Kiosk locations are listed in the ePRINTit Basics.
From the kiosk home screen, log in one of three ways:
- Swipe your student ID card — the fastest and most secure option. Any registered student can get an ID card; a paid Student Body card is not required to print.
- Type your CampusWide ID (CWID) and MyPortal password on the touchscreen keyboard.
- Visitor With No Campuswide ID — the guest option. See Guest printing without a CWID.
Choose where your files come from
- USB — insert a USB drive; a dialog box lets you browse and select the files to load.
- Cloud — files you already uploaded through the web app, mobile app, or File-to-Print driver.
- Release Code — the 8‑digit code from email-to-print or the mobile app.
Guest users see only the USB and Release Code options.
Set print options
- On the print options screen, select one or more files using the checkboxes on the left.
- Tap a document's thumbnail to open a larger preview and select a page range. Only one continuous range is allowed per job — to print separate ranges, save a copy of the document with the unwanted pages deleted and print that instead.
- If the attached printer supports color or double-sided printing, those options appear here. Color is 50¢ per page instead of 15¢ for black and white; there is no per-page discount for double-sided.
- Adjust the number of copies if needed. Every change updates the cost display on the right, along with your account balance.
Pay and print
- If your balance covers the job, tap print — the cost is deducted from your account.
- If the job costs more than your balance, the difference is displayed along with a $0.50 credit card transaction fee, and you can pay the remainder by card. To avoid the fee, add funds ahead of time ($5.00 minimum deposit) in the web or mobile app.
- After you submit, a message pops up with the transaction details. If you paid by card, a receipt is also emailed to you.
Log out and take your USB drive. Tap Logout to return to the home screen when you finish — the kiosk times out after a few minutes, but don't rely on it — and don't leave your USB drive in the machine.
