This article is for FHDA students and faculty. Canvas is the learning management system used for online, hybrid, and web-enhanced courses at both colleges. Canvas is supported by each college's online education office rather than by ETS, so the best help for course sites, assignments, and Canvas features comes from your college's resources below.
Sign in to Canvas
- Foothill: foothillcollege.instructure.com
- De Anza: deanza.instructure.com
Log in with your MyPortal username and password. You can also reach Canvas from within MyPortal or use the Canvas Student mobile app.
Course not showing in Canvas? Instructors control when their Canvas course sites become visible, and most don't publish until the course start date — so an enrolled course that's missing (or showing a "not enrolled" error) before the quarter begins is normal, not a technical problem. Waitlisted students don't have access to Canvas course sites at all. If your course still isn't visible after the start date, contact your instructor before submitting a help ticket.
