April 5, 2016 10-11 am
Attendees: Michael Monina and Micah Roark remotely; Larry Ching, Chien Shih, Mahmood Hasan, Chris Dubeau, Katia Rostam-Yazdi, Linda Koyama
- Upgrade and Transporter status update
- Upgrade 10.4 Deployed to SaaS on Thursday, March 31st. Target schedule for the ESL upgrade:
April 12th, 5 pm PST, for a two hour window. QA process will need to happen the following
morning (April 13th). Any notifications will be done by updating a ticket # 32926,
cc Chris, Alex, Larry, Deepa (prasaddeep@fhda.edu), Katia (rostamyazdikatia@fhda.edu) and Norbert (deblernorbert@fhda.edu). OU Campus will not be accessible but the websites will still be up. Chris will
notify Hasan and Chien when the ticket is updated. Any issues will be communicated
via the ticket.
- Possible transport date: Friday afternoons work best for De Anza, from April 22nd. Still waiting for the
date confirmation from OU. It will need to happen during the day. The De Anza accounts
will need to be locked during the transport, tentatively 8am-noon. OU will unlock the
accounts as soon as possible, hopefully in a couple of hours. De Anza web team will
send out notices in advance to De Anza users about the OU outage and warn them that no
edits can be made during the time of the transport. (Larry will be on vacation but
Alex will be on campus on April 22nd).
- After the migration, ETS will start working on SSO and cross-referencing of the usernames and CWIDs.
- Upgrade 10.4 Deployed to SaaS on Thursday, March 31st. Target schedule for the ESL upgrade:

via the ticket.
- Other issues:
- Larry is asking everyone to review his updated specs and to notify him of any recommended changes.
- Timing of VPN testing: If the test migration happens on April 22nd, we should have SSO ready by the end of May. Tentative move to production: End of June. Lisa will need to touch base with Sharon to see if that will be enough time to test and implement the new VPN by June. If we could do the authentication through CAS, we can still have the URL redirect to the instructor's webpage.
