De Anza OU Migration Project Meeting Minutes
December 1, 2015 10-11 am
Attendees: Michael Monina remotely; Alex Harrell, Larry Ching, Chien Shih, Mahmood Hasan, Chris Dubeau, Katia Rostam-Yazdi, Deepa Prasad, Linda Koyama
- The ESL and SaaS instances have been upgraded to the latest version.
- Transporter Fix Update from Michael: No firm ETA for the Transporter fixes. Micah will keep us up-to-date.
They have migrated hundreds of customers from SaaS to SaaS, or version 9 to version
10. We're the first to go from Postgres to Postgres. OU is currently testing the
changes to the transporter. They are optimistic that it will be ready in a short
period of time. FHDA is available to help with testing.
- Schedule Update:
- We are hoping that the data can be migrated by the end of December.
- We will test single sign on and user validation the month of January. In order for single sign on to work, the user names will need to be replaced with the employee's CWID. OU has a tool that will switch the usernames with the data that ETS will provide.
- We will perform the real transport and training during the month of February and still hope to go live the end of February.
- If we need to postpone, a better time to go live is end of April.
- We will cancel the weekly December meetings except for the December 15th meeting.
- After the conversion, we will need to republish the whole site in order for the log
in links at the bottom of the webpages to work. Should we block them from logging
into the SaaS server? We will continue this conversation with Micah.
- The transport is set up to perform account wide (all or nothing); Larry was wondering if creating a smaller test account under the De Anza SaaS skin would be beneficial for transport testing? Michael will touch base with Micah for his thoughts.
