De Anza OU Migration Project Meeting Minutes

Attendees: Michael Monina remotely; Larry Ching, Chien Shih, Mahmood Hasan, Norbert Debler, Chris Dubeau, Katia Rostam-Yazdi, Deepa Prasad, Linda Koyama
- Chris reported that the test instance will not be created until after the De Anza
migration.
- Next steps:
- Apply the 10.3.2.1 Upgrade on Wednesday, 11/4/15 @ 6 p.m. (SaaS version is already upgraded).
- Plan the transport migration of the De Anza database from SaaS to ESL in its entirety during the week of 11/16/15.
- Change user names to CWIDs
- Work on single sign on.
- Remove the internal passwords that were maintainted in OU Campus.
- Plan a second migration in Jan-Feb
- Create a test environment after the second migration is completed
- The migration in November will be the first of two migrations. The second one will
take place in Jan-Feb timeframe which will override everything originally migrated.
Any work changing user names will be need to be done again. There is no need to
lock out any users for editing for the first migration. For the second transport,
we will need to lock users out while we are doing the actual transport.
- De Anza is requesting test staff and faculty accounts. Options (Requires further
discussion):
- Create a set of pseudo IDs
- Larry and Alex could use their CWIDs and go in as faculty
- Create a test team of real faculty and staff
- Will invite Micah and Michael to our next meeting.
- Larry's updated specifications were reviewed. We asked Larry to update it and send it back to us.
- ETS will give 2 test URLs to the De Anza web team and set up a server for a publish target.
- Tentatively Chris will have SSO done by Dec 7th, leaving Dec. 7th through January for testing.
- DAWT will notify users (De Anza faculty and staff) of outage dates and new log in procedure.
- ETS will need to provide VPN access for off campus OU login.
