Governance

ETS supports a set of governance committees that guide how technology decisions are made across the Foothill–De Anza Community College District. These committees bring together faculty, staff, and administrators to set priorities, review systems and tools, and make recommendations that align technology with the district’s mission of teaching, learning, and student success.

Governance Committees and Work Groups

Guiding principles

Governance committees weigh decisions against a shared set of priorities:

  • Teaching and learning first. Technology should support instruction and student success.
  • Accessibility. Tools and content meet WCAG 2.1 AA and ADA Title II requirements.
  • Security and privacy. Systems protect district data and comply with FERPA and other applicable regulations.
  • Equity and access. Decisions consider all students, faculty, and staff across both colleges and the district.
  • Transparency. Charters, scope, and decisions are documented and shared.
