The Applications group is responsible for the ongoing operation, stability, and security of the district's enterprise systems — Banner and the applications that depend on it. The group keeps these systems available and performing well for the students and staff who rely on them every day: applying updates and patches, monitoring system health, managing servers and databases, performing backups, and responding to incidents and outages when they occur. It also safeguards the sensitive student, employee, and financial data these systems hold by managing access controls, security configurations, and protective measures against threats. Through planned maintenance, careful change management, and disaster recovery preparation, the group ensures that the district's core systems remain dependable and secure, and that essential services can be restored quickly if a disruption occurs.
