Video Conferencing with Zoom

Zoom is a video conferencing tool that can be used for one-on-one meetings, small group and committee meetings, and large meetings. Zoom offers web-based video conferencing, phone conferencing, screen sharing and chat. It works on Windows, Mac, Android and IOS. All FHDA employees are eligible for a Zoom account that allows for scheduling and hosting Zoom meetings. Participants do not need an account.

To sign up for an FHDA Zoom account, or to sign in to an existing account, select the Zoom tile in MyPortal (under Staff). New accounts are approved immediately as a provisional "basic" account, but may take up to 72 hours to be elevated to a licensed account.

As with all technology provided by the district, your FHDA Zoom account should be used for work related meetings, and should follow district guidelines for security and accessibility.

Zoom is provided by a grant from the California Community College Chancellor's Office. This grant is administered by TechConnect, which is housed at Palomar College.
