 Office365 Project Meeting Minutes

October 21, 2015 11:00 a.m.-noon

Attendees :  David Ulate,  Pam Eberhardt, John Vandercook, Kelly Pettit, Chien Shih, Jerrick Woo, Mahmood Hasan, Deepa Prasad, Claire Chang, Linda Koyama

  1. Project Status
      1.  Progress has been made on automatic provisioning; it will be based on the funding organization (FOAP) to create the different document libraries and group structure.  Deepa is working on the specs. Target to be ready by December. (roughly 4500 accounts total).
      2. Pam cautioned that there may be exceptions due to those being paid under Measure C.
      3. Users will have the option to add people to their group.
      4. We have received 57 requests for the super users pilot testing group.  ETS is working on provisioning their accounts.  Target roll out Nov. 2nd.  We will ask them to test mobile devices and contribute to the newsfeed.
  2. To do list
      1. We need help testing mobile: Android, Iphone,  Ipad, and window phone.  It's recommended to download Onedrive For Business.  Kelly suggested to start a thread for specific mobile models and operating systems for feedback.  Jerrick said that using his android tablet, there is no need to go through MyPortal to access O365.

      2. Please help test Office365 in general and add comments, questions, suggestions in the global newsfeed.

      3. We need help internally from the Desktop group in conjunction with consulting help to figure out a solution to deploy the sync option.

      4. Deepa will clarify in the user documentation for mobile devices that there is no "Office365" app to download, you must download Onedrive and the individual apps (i.e. Word, Powerpoint etc).  One difference between Onedrive and Onedrive for Business is that Onedrive does not give you the option to sign off whereas Onedrive for Business does allow you to log out.

      5. Another option to the global newsfeed is to start a blog that allows the option for Linda to be alerted each time someone adds to the blog.
