Your "friendly" email address will usually be: yourlastnameyourfirstname@fhda.edu.
To log in to email you must use your district universal name. This username is sometimes called the ugly name, and is the letter/number combination whose format will be something like abc1234 with the letters being your initials, or for new hires (2011), it will be your CWID. You can find this username and password by logging on to your MyPortal page.
Once logged in, go to the MyPortal "Employees" tab, then at the very bottom of the "Employee Web Services" channel, click the "Employee Services Main Menu" link. There you will find a link to "Lookup E-mail Username and Password" at the bottom of the page. Clicking this link will display the username and password for your district e-mail account.
The process above will only display your default email password. If you have previously changed your password, it will not be shown. You will need to contact the Call Center by e-mail at techhelp@fhda.edu or by phone at (408) 864-8324.
NOTE: The district is no longer supporting the old "Legacy" portal system which was replaced in summer quarter of 2010. For more about the new system, including username and password information, please see the Portal Questions page.
