For MAC users running OS 9-9.2:
1) Under the Apple menu, drag down to Chooser and release your mouse button.
2) Click on the Apple Share icon in the box on the left. All that happens is that the AppleShare icon becomes selected. Then click on the Server IP Address… button near the bottom of the right side.
3) When the dialog box appears, type in the word macfile, and click on the Connect button.
4) In the new dialog box you will be able to choose to register as a Guest or a Registered User. Click on the Guest button and then click the Connect button.
5) In the next box that appears, you will be able to choose to use either the maui files or the public files. You would select maui files if you need to download maui onto your computer.
6) Do not click in either check box next to the items, just click on the word maui to select it and then click on the OK box at the bottom of the window.
7) The icon for the maui fileserver will appear on your desktop. It looks like a globe.
8) Just double-click on the icon to open the window of accessible files and drag the new version of MAUI to your desktop.
For MAC users running OS X:
1) Attempt to connect to server by selecting "GO" from the top pull down menu on your desktop and selecting "Connect To Server..."
2) In the "Connect to Server" dialog box, change Address to afp://macfile and click on the Connect button.
3) In the new dialog box you will be able to choose to register as a Guest or a Registered User. Click on the Guest button and then click the Connect button.
4) In the next box that appears, you will be able to choose to use either the maui files or the public files. You would select maui files if you need to download maui onto your computer.
5) The icon for the maui fileserver will appear on your desktop. It looks like a globe.
