6. At the Norton Anti Virus Scheduler window confirm that the Events pull-down menu has scan selected (the name you chose for the event).

7. The next pull-down menu below is Event Type. Choose scan all mounted disks from the pull-down menu.

8. The next pull-down menu below is When to do. Choose at a specified time from the pull-down menu.

9. The next pull-down menu below is How Often. Choose weekly from the pull-down menu.

10. The next field below is Starting. The first field from the left should have the current date selected. Verify that day of the week is a day you are normally at work with your computer turned on. Choose a time you are normally at work, but not using your computer. An example would be at lunch time (ex: 12:00PM). The reason to choose a time when you will not be using your computer is because the scanning may slow down your computer considerably due to the resources used to scan your entire computer for viruses.

11. Click on the Done button. If you receive a prompt stating: You have scheduled an event in the past. Are you sure you want to do this? click on the Yes button.

12. You have now scheduled your computer to automatically scan your computer once each week to ensure maximum virus protection. To quit Norton Anti Virus go to the File menu and choose Quit to exit the program.
