The Adobe Flash Player is currently employed on the portal and allows us to develop next-generation web applications to serve a variety of needs throughout the District. If an application you need to use requires Flash 10 to be installed, listed below are the steps you need to get your browser application updated.
Getting the Flash Software (any platform)
- Use any web browser and navigate to the Adobe product website, http://www.adobe.com
- Locate the button labeled "Get Adobe Flash Player" and click it.
- Adobe will identify the operating system and browser you are using and will automatically select the right version of Flash for your needs. Click on the large yellow "Agree and install now" button.
- Your web browser will download the Flash installer to your hard drive using the default location. (This is set in the web browser preferences for your computer). Once the download is complete, find the installation package and run it to start the upgrade process. It takes only a few minutes and it is easy to do with a step-by-step process.
- Done! Your computer has been updated and you're ready to go.
